Most frequently asked questions about calendar connection errors

Updated over 3 weeks ago

When I connect my calendar I receive error message "The User must be signed up for Google Calendar"

This error message usually appears when the Gmail domain is not active anymore.

It is related to the Google error message "We are sorry, but you do not have access to Calendar."

Some reasons why you may not have access:

  • Your account is managed by an organization that has this service turned off for its users.

  • Your account may be temporarily disabled by your organization’s admin.

  • Your Google Workspace subscription may no longer be active.

To access this Google service, you may want to try signing in with a different account. If you still need support, contact your organization's admin.

To override this message you can either try:

  • With different Gmail account or

  • By contacting your domain email administrator for further assistance if you are using Google Workspace custom domain account (not personal @gmail.com)

In case you're still receiving an error message after trying to connect with different Gmail account that is confirmed as active, please reach out to our Customer Support team via chat button in the bottom right corner of your screen so we could inspect.

Why my iClosed event is not added to the Google Calendar or why my Google meet link is not generated?

This may happen if the user either revoked access in Google Calendar to iClosed or changed password for the Gmail account connected.

Quick reminder: calendar connected in iClosed ( AI Scheduler → Calendar) will be used for:

  • Transferring events from iClosed to Google Calendar set under "Add to calendar" section

  • Sending of email notifications if Event Notification settings are set for confirmation, cancellation and email reminders → "Email sent with host email"

  • and for generating of Google Meet links if Event location is set to "Google Meet"

Here's how to fix it:

  1. Navigate to AI Scheduler → Calendar page

  2. Disconnect Calendar connected (or all calendars)

  3. Connect the main calendar again first and make sure to accept all permissions for iClosed to access your Google Calendar

  4. Repeat the process for other calendars that you'd like to use for checking against availability conflicts

And that's all. Your calendar connections page will show all three sections as per screenshot below:

Kindly note that calendar reconnection will not update and synchronize automatically and therefore follow the next steps for the following scenarios:

  • Missing events in your Google Calendar → add them manually

  • Google meet link is not generated → See this article
