Credits Explained

Learn how the iClosed Credits work and how it ensures you pay only when features are actually used

Updated this week

iClosed Credits power all usage-based features across the platform, giving you full visibility and control over how and when you’re charged. Credits are deducted only when a feature is used, ensuring your spend is always tied to real value.

With a centralized wallet, you can track available and used credits, monitor feature-level usage, and enable auto-recharge to keep critical features running without interruption.

Important Notes

Credit management is accessible to Super Admin roles only, and both account owners and other super admins will be able to manage credits and billing settings.

How Does It Work

iClosed uses a centralized wallet to manage Credits across all usage-based features. Instead of paying fixed fees, Credits are deducted only when a feature is actually used. Credits will be used for pay-per-use features, such as:

  • Phone number validation – 1.5 credits per check

  • Email validation – 0.5 credits per check

  • Credit Score – 15 credits per check (Email and Phone validation included)

  • Debt-To-Income ratio (DTI) – 24 credits per check (Email and Phone validation included)

Important Notes

Credit score check and DTI are available for users with business entities in the United States, and will be accessible after successful verification process – read more about it here.

Additionally, Credit Score check will be used after successfully verified US phone number, while for all other country codes, Credit Score check will be skipped.

Buying Credits

Navigate to Settings → Billing to start.

  1. Click on the Buy Credits button

  2. A new window will show for a user to select:
    a. Options for selecting payment method or
    b. Adding new payment method

  3. Select number of credits you’d like to buy (min is 100 credits = $20) or select any of the bundles:

    • 500 credits = $100

    • 1,000 credits = $200

    • 2,000 credits = $400

    • 5,000 credits = $1,000

  4. Confirm & Buy credits to proceed

Pro Tips

We recommend enabling automatic credits recharge to keep your credits balance topped up at all times, to avoid SMS messages from failing and preventing Data Intelligence features to stop.

All you need to do is to define minimum credits thresholds and amount of credits you’d like to recharge your wallet with.

Credits Usage

The Credit Usage section gives you a complete overview of how Credits are consumed across usage-based features in your account.

From here, you can track your current balance, monitor feature-level spending, and review detailed logs for each feature.

Usage Per Data Intelligence Features

The Usage breakdown per feature table shows how Credits are consumed by each usage-based feature. For each feature, you can see:

  • Credits cost per use

  • Total Credits used for the selected date range

This helps you quickly identify which features are consuming the most Credits and where optimizations may be needed.

Cost Per Usage

iClosed uses Credits to make usage-based pricing simple, transparent, and predictable. Credits are converted from your Wallet balance and deducted only when a feature is used.

Pro tips

Once you buy and add credits to your wallet, you will be able to turn on Data Intelligence features per event of your preference.

Navigate to AI Scheduler → Events page and click on the Event for which you'd like to turn on Data Intelligence features for.

Simply click on the toggle buttons for the validations that you'd like to turn on, and additionally configure Disqualification and Conditional Routing features if you'd like to.

Kindly note that Credit Score check is available upon successful verification process – read more about it here.

Credit Score + Debt-To-Income (DTI) Ratio

  • 24 Credits per check

Credit Score and DTI cost wont summarize, but depending of the feature selected, your credit wallet will be charged for either:

  • Credit Score – 15 credits per check
    or

  • Debt-To-Income ratio (DTI) – 24 credits per check that will include Credit Score results in data

Credit Score check requires mandatory Phone and Email validation, these costs will add up to Credit Score cost:

  • Credit score = 15 credits per check + 1.5 credits for Phone validation + 0.5 credits for Email validation = 17 credits in total

Credit Balance Overview

At the top of the Credit Usage page, you’ll see a summary of your Wallet:

  • Available Credits – Credits currently remaining in your Wallet

  • Credits used – Credits already consumed

  • Total Credits – Total Credits added to your Wallet over time

You can also purchase additional Credits directly from this page by clicking "Buy Credits" button.

Auto-Recharge Status

Next to your Credit balance, iClosed displays the Auto-recharge status.

When your Credit balance reaches 0, all usage-based features will stop working!

To prevent interruptions, iClosed recommends enabling auto-recharge, which automatically tops up your Credits when your balance falls below a defined threshold.

Logs

Clicking on any feature in the usage breakdown opens feature-specific logs, providing a detailed history of Credit usage. Each log includes:

  • The contact or recipient

  • The validation or action result

  • Credits charged for that action

  • Timestamp of when the feature was triggered

Feature logs are available for:

  • SMS – message-level delivery and charges

  • Email Validation – per-email validation results and Credits used

  • Phone Validation – per-number validation results and Credits used

  • Credit Score & DTI – per-check results and Credits used

Pro tips

You can access all logs from the Integrations page as well.

SMS usage logs

The SMS Usage Logs section provides a detailed, message-level breakdown of all SMS activity sent through iClosed. Each log entry includes:

  • Email - The contact associated with the SMS message.

  • Phone Number - The destination number the SMS was sent to, including country code.

  • Amount Charged in Credits - The exact number of credits deducted for that SMS segment (SMS credit usage varies by country)

  • Event - The iClosed event or funnel that triggered the SMS.

  • Sent Date - The exact date and time the SMS was delivered.

  • Country - The country associated with the phone number.

Pro tips

  • Credits are deducted only when an SMS is successfully sent.

  • Each SMS is logged individually (total cost in credits per outreach, that may include multiple segments)

  • You can filter logs by date range (e.g. last three months, last year)

  • Total SMS sent is displayed at the top for quick reference

Phone number validation usage logs

The Phone Validation Logs provide a complete history of all phone numbers validated on your forms. Each log entry includes:

  • Contact name

  • Phone number submitted

  • Validation result (Valid or Invalid)

  • Credits charged for the validation

  • Timestamp (PST) when the check occurred

Pro tips

  • Credits are deducted per phone validation, independent of the result.

  • Filters allow you to quickly review validation performance for specific time periods or results.

Email validation usage logs

The Email Validation Logs show every email address that has been checked using iClosed Email Validation. For each validation, you can see:

  • Contact name

  • Email address entered

  • Validation result (Valid or Invalid)

  • Credits charged for the check

  • Timestamp (PST) when validation was triggered

Pro tips

  • Credits are deducted per validation attempt, regardless of whether the email is valid or invalid.

  • Use filters and date ranges to analyze validation outcomes over time and identify patterns in lead quality.

Credit Score & DTI usage logs

The Credit Score & DTI Logs provide a complete audit trail of all credit intelligence checks performed on your leads. Each log entry includes:

  • Contact – the lead associated with the credit check

  • Phone number – the verified phone number used for the check

  • Credit score – numeric credit score when available

  • Debt-To-Income (DTI) % – the lead’s debt exposure category

  • Result – whether the credit check completed successfully

  • Credits – Credits deducted for the check

  • Triggered on (PST) – the exact date and time the check was executed

Credits are deducted only when a credit check is successfully completed.
If a check is blocked, skipped, or prevented by preconditions or Usage Guard, no Credits are consumed.

Use the date range selector to analyze trends over time and validate how Credit Score and DTI are impacting lead qualification, disqualification, and conditional routing decisions.

Pro tips

Usage Guard helps you protect your Credits from unexpected spikes in Credit Check activity.

Set a request limit within a time window to automatically pause Credit Checks if usage exceeds your threshold. This is especially useful during webinars, website traffic spikes, or any other campaigns.

You’ll be notified if Credit Checks are paused and can re-enable them manually at any time.
