Introduction to iClosed lead statuses and how we categorize them

Updated over 2 weeks ago

iClosed 2-step scheduler ensures that there's no lead left behind!
This guide will help you understand how we have defined lead statuses so you're able to categorize every lead properly.

Lead Statuses breakdown

Potential

This is the starting point!

When the prospect enters a phone number but doesn’t finish the form, they’ll be added to the Global Data as well, and marked as Potential.

They could have filled out one field or five out of six and will be counted as potential until they fill out the form entirely.

Qualified

The green light!

Prospects who have filled out the whole form, but for some reason didn't book a call.

These are the warm leads. Definitely worth of calling back quickly.

Disqualified

Some leads won’t make the cut.

These are the ones who filled out the form, but hit your disqualification criteria, which is why your Sales team (hosts) will have more time and keep slots open for qualified leads (learn more about iClosed disqualification).

Strategy Call

Status referring as Strategy call booked, basically a sales call.

This status appears when a lead schedules a strategy event or appointment setter approves lead to move from Discovery to Strategy call stage (learn the difference between these two types of events).

Discovery Call

Leads that scheduled a Discovery event.

Those are usually leads that are scheduling a call with an appointment setter or any host that is doing initial lead screening on behalf of the sales team (learn about Appointment Setting in Global Data).

Recognizing Lead statuses visually in Global Data

In Global data you'll be able to recognize the lead status of each and every lead easily.
Circle color badge will appear next to the contact email or phone number.

Why a lead who already had a call booked is now marked as Potential/Qualified?

Lead statuses are dynamic. A prospect can move from potential to qualified, and to strategy call booked and back.
For example, if a prospect comes back after booking a call, adds his phone number to your scheduler, and leaves, he will switch back to potential.

But you'll be able to see the whole lead journey on the contact card by clicking on the lead email or phone number. See how in the video tutorial below:

Can I edit lead statuses?

That option is not available at the moment, because lead statuses are tied to calls scheduled and their journey from filling out primary set of questions to adding an outcome.

But what you can do, if you're a Business or Enterprise subscription user, is to create a custom contact field that will help you with customization in Global Data.

Check out this article that explains how to create two separate Disqualified statuses and apply same approach to your use case. or reach out to our Customer Support team to provide you advice.
