Learn how to connect Zoom and use it as event meeting location

We've made it easier for you to to connect Zoom from three app pages:

No matter from which page you initiate connection, the steps will be the same once you click on the "Connect" button:

  1. Sign in to Zoom window will appear

  2. Enter login credentials to sign in to your Zoom account

  3. Make sure to allow all permissions by marking a checkbox

  4. Confirm by clicking on the "Allow" button

When Zoom is selected as your event location, iClosed handles the heavy lifting by creating a real Zoom meeting with a unique join link for every single booking.

These links are automatically shared with the attendees and are surfaced directly in the iClosed booking drawer, calendar invites, and .ics attachments.

Important note

For all events with Zoom set as location of the call, every host will have to connect their own Zoom account in order for a meeting link to be generated automatically.

If you select Zoom as the Event Location that is not connected with iClosed yet, you will see the error message with a button to connect Zoom directly from the event setup.

Pro tips

Overriding Passcode in Zoom

In case you're having a problem that your leads need to add a passcode to access the Zoom call, simply turn off "Personal Meeting ID (PMI) Passcode" in the Zoom settings. And not just that, by turning off personal meeting ID passcode will shorten your link.

Log in to your Zoom account but from browser, not desktop app to access all Settings.

Once you're in, click on the Settings menu on the left and then Meeting tab on the top:

Turn off all Meeting Passcode security settings

How to set up single Zoom link, instead of the link that is automatically generated by iClosed

Two options are available here depending on if you'd like to set up single Zoom link on a host (specific link for every host) or event level (single link for all event hosts):

  1. Host specificCalendar connections

    1. Meeting Preferences → personal meeting link

  2. Event specificEvents → Event Details

    1. Location → Custom meeting link
