Setting up Event details

Learn all about the first step for creating an event in iClosed

Updated over 2 weeks ago

The first step of creating or editing your event is the Event Details. In which you will set up the basic details of your event.

  • Go to AI Scheduler > Events and click on any your already created event or click on Create New Event

  • You will be redirected to Event creation/editor page

Here's the detailed breakdown of the Event Details section:

  1. Event Name: Is the name that will appear on your scheduler

  2. Event Tag Color: This is for internal purpose only. To differentiate between events visually on the events page, scheduled calls, global data, etc. Simply, you can give a tag color to your event.

  3. Location: Select where the scheduled call will take place. You can choose between:

    1. Phone Call → make sure to add phone number in the Event Notifications so lead could know how to get in touch with you.

    2. Google Meet → creates meeting location automatically, if host connected Google Calendar in Calendar Connections. Otherwise, you would need to include Google meeting link location in your Event Notifications manually, or to have host to send out Google Meet link to lead every time before the call.

    3. Zoom → creates meeting location automatically only if Zoom is connected with iClosed

  4. Description/Instructions: This is the description that will appear on the scheduler for your leads to see. Add any details or instructions you'd like to inform the people who are visiting your scheduler.

  5. Event link: This is the main link for your scheduler page. The URL is composed with three parts, pulled from your account:

    • Default URL: This is iClosed's URL and cannot be edited (https://app.iclosed.io/e/)

    • Company URL: This is your company name (URL) that account owner sets while signing up. You can edit it in Settings, but in case you do that, bear in mind that all already created events will be affected and you'd need to embed scheduler to your web pages again.

    • Event URL: This is event specific URL and can be unique for each event. By default, we will auto-populate the URL according to Event name added but you can edit it at any time, and can differ from the actual event name.

  6. Internal Description: For internal use only. Very convenient for you and your team members to know what event is about, especially if the events have similar titles. This internal description will appear on you event card in Events Page.
