Blocking off a day or several days
Here's how to block off vacation time, days off during the holidays or any other reason when you're having a team member out of office for a longer period of time.
Simply, ask a user (or all users if it's holiday time) to block off the whole day (or days) in their Google Calendars connected with iClosed.
Go to the Google Calendar set for iClosed to check against conflicts (Calendar Connections page - Check for conflicts section).
Select a day or multiple days when you'll be out of office
Choose event duration "All day"
Make sure to set event status to be "Busy"
As soon as the event is added, iClosed will see the dates and times set in Google Calendar as unavailable, which will prevent leads from scheduling calls. Check out quick video walkthrough below.
Blocking off specific time frame during the day
In case you have members that are going to be available to take calls during the holidays, tell them not to block off the whole day in their Google Calendars, but to utilize
iClosed Date override feature in the AI Scheduler → Availability.
Good example would be setting up availability for December 31st, when most teams wrap up their work day Here's how:
Navigate to the AI Scheduler → Availability page
Click on the "Date override" button on the top right of your Availability page
Select date and set hours you will be available for the date selected
example Dec 31st from 9am to 12pm
As soon as you add Date override, your specific availability will prioritize over standard availability, without the need to change the actual availability. Check out the video below.
Pro tips
Users without super admin permissions will be able to set and manage only their own Availability-Date override.
Super Admin and Sales Managers can switch the Availability between users by selecting a user from the AI Scheduler filter on top and set Date specific availability for each and every one of them.
