Learn how to populate deal value and date using transactions

Updated over a month ago

Transactions refer to the payments coming into iClosed form the payment processor, integrated directly - Stripe, or any other via Make or Zapier.
All such payments will be saved as Transactions.

Transactions are available with Business and Enterprise subscription plans.

The reason why we save payments in transactions is precision. We wanted to ensure that your sales team is adding exact amount of the deal value that you are actually getting paid by your customers.

Instead of filling out deal amounts manually, your sales representatives can simply open Transactions from the deal section while adding "Sale" outcome and connect all payments associated with the lead, which will keep your revenue data accurate.

How to access Transactions

Main Transactions menu is accessible from Global Data > Deals tab, but alternatively you can access them from Sale Outcome - Deals step and from leads Contact Card - "Add deal" button.

Here's how to access it from Global Data > Deals tab:

  1. Click on Deals tab

  2. Inside the deals tab, you will see a button for Transactions. Click on it.

  3. A popup will appear with all your incoming transactions

Understanding Transactions table

Your transactions table will show you from which email the transaction was made, phone number, description, name, value, transaction date and source.

The table is divided into two parts:

  1. Pending - Transactions that haven't been connected with any deal yet

  2. Synced - Transactions that have been added to a deal
