Day 2: Your Extra Leads Are Sitting There. The Clock Is Ticking

Avoid The graveyard of "I'll follow up later"

Updated this week

You went live yesterday. Extra Leads are already in your dashboard. But here's what most people don't realize: every minute you wait, your odds of converting them drop.

Most entrepreneurs treat leads like a collection. Capture them. Add them to a list. Tell yourself you'll follow up "later." Later becomes tomorrow. Tomorrow becomes next week. Next week becomes never.

The leads who were excited yesterday? They've moved on. Talked to a competitor. Forgot why they were interested.

The gap between capturing a lead and following up is where most revenue dies.

The 5-minute window

MIT studied lead response times across thousands of sales interactions:

Your Extra Leads filled out your form minutes or hours ago. They were ready to book. Something interrupted them. Reach out while they still remember why they were interested - you have a real shot.

Wait until tomorrow? You're basically cold calling.

What separates a 4x ROAS from a 2x ROAS?

The difference between teams that get an 8x ROAS and teams that struggle to get a 2x ROAS isn't the ads. It isn't the offer. It isn’t the leads. It's the speed.

Striking While The Iron is Hot

You catch people in the moment of intent.

When someone fills out your form, they're thinking about their problem. They're motivated. Five minutes later, they're back in their inbox, putting out fires.

You stand out.

Most businesses take 24-48 hours to follow up. Some never do. When you call in 5 minutes, you're memorable.

These aren't cold calls.

They started booking with you. You're reminding them to finish, not selling from scratch. That changes your energy, your tone, your confidence.

Here's What to Do

Set Up Slack Notifications

You can't call in 5 minutes if you don't know the lead exists.

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations

  2. Find Slack and click "Connect"

  3. Click "Integrate" and select your Slack workspace

  4. Grant permissions

  5. Configure which events trigger notifications:

    • Select your Event(s)

    • Select Lead statuses: Potential, Qualified, Call Booked

    • Select which Slack channel(s) to send to

  6. Click "Save Changes"

Pro tips

Turn on mobile push notifications for that Slack channel.

The 5-minute window doesn't care if you're at lunch.

The Warm Callback Script

These aren't cold leads. They started booking and got interrupted. You're reminding, not selling. That changes everything.

First touch (within 5 minutes):

"Hey [Name], this is [Your name] from [Company]. I saw you started booking a call with us but didn't finish — just wanted to make sure everything's okay and see if you had any questions before picking a time. Is now a good moment?"

That's it. You're helping, not pitching.

If no answer → Voicemail + Text combo:

Voicemail:

"Hey [Name], [Your name] from [Company]. Saw you were checking us out — just wanted to connect and answer any questions. Feel free to call back or reply to the text I'm about to send."

Text (immediately after):

"Hey [Name] - this is [Your name]. Just left you a quick voicemail. Saw you started booking a call with us. Still interested? Here's my calendar: [link]"

Pro tips

The Day 3 "break-up" message often gets the highest response rate. People don't like being given up on.
