Whenever you have an open form online, there's always a possibility to have bots scraping booking slots and filling information automatically. Sometimes people intentionally develop scripts that can harm companies revenue by booking all the hosts slots.
Therefore, in order to prevent that scenario from happening, we have included a very complex mechanism on scheduler pages, to keep your slots free for your leads.
How does it work?
Whenever somebody lands on web page where your scheduler has been embedded, no matter if it's a bot or a human, iClosed will calculate it's spam score, according to the "Turing test" (developed by Google), determining whether or not a computer is capable of thinking like a human being.
β
The test calculates visitors spam score based on the malware browser sessions and it's activity, spam cookies, fake mouse activity, keyboard session and activity, and other things.
If the Spam Score returns as too low
βiClosed will show Google image re-captcha that a visitor needs to pass.
βif a visitor fails to solve image re-captcha
we will provide new Google image re-captcha that will count as second attempt.
In case both attempts for solving image re-captcha fail, we will block scheduling attempt and visitor will not be allowed to to continue and to schedule a call.
On top of that, we have added another security layer which prevents bots from booking calls via our APIs (without using iClosed page).
Would such visitors be collected by the Global Data?
Yes, all such prospect will be collected and stored in Global Data. The spam blocker can't be applied immediately while leads are filling out the primary questions on your form (phone number or email and full name), because it would slow down the fill-out process and ruin the lead experience. On top of that, it could potentially block proper prospects.
But have no worries, all such prospects can be deleted from Global Data, one by one, or by applying specific filters and deleting them all in-bulk (learn more on how to delete contacts in bulk here).
iClosed Spam Blocker will safe-guard your schedulers, preventing any potentially malicious attacks from blocking your business ensuring the booking slots stay available for true leads.
Alternatively, if you're a Business or Enterprise subscription plan user, you will have additional option to block specific IP address or email address in Tracking menu
(learn more about iClosed IP and email blocking feature here).
